KAPAMPANGAN DRIFTERS DOMINATE DRIFT MATSURI PH SEASON 3 OPENER

Kapampangan pride roared loud and proud at the opening round of the Drift Matsuri Philippines Series and Irohazaka Car Meet held on May 24 at the R33 Drift Track, as siblings Ashley and Arianne Sison—known in the motorsports community as Daughter Drift and Sister Drift—delivered impressive podium-worthy performances.

Ashley Sison, a crowd favorite, qualified 2nd and finished 4th in the Pro category.
“It’s been a long work in progress and I’m loving the journey more and more each time,” she shared, vowing to continue improving, especially in her chase runs.

Meanwhile, her sister Arianne “Sister Drift” Sison earned her first-ever podium finish in the Philippines, bagging 3rd place in the Pro 2 category.

Stepping out of her comfort zone, Arianne said, “I feel proud of the outcome for finally pushing myself. I couldn’t have done it without my team—Autocraft Drift—and our sleepless nights to finish everything in time.”

Both sisters paid tribute to their father and coach, Dr. Audel Sison, aka “Dr. Drift,” for laying the groundwork for their motorsport dreams.

“You built the path we’re now driving on and we’re just out here continuing what you began,” Ashley wrote in her post.

International judges added star power to the competition, with Japanese drift legends Ken Nomura and Robbie Nishida, and Malaysian drifter Zai Bullzai Hamdan flying in to evaluate the high-octane action.

The Sison sisters also extended their gratitude to their sponsors—Accelera Radial Philippines, Motul, Illest Philippines, Aguila Auto Glass, REVS Carbon, Arttuned, Decal Lord, Alpinestars Philippines, Jabbre Motocom, and more—for helping them chase their dreams, one drift at a time.

The next round of Drift Matsuri PH happens on August 16, promising yet another round of thrills and tire-shredding battles.

With their performances, Ashley and Arianne Sison have cemented their place as frontrunners in the country’s growing drift scene—flying the Kapampangan flag high on the national motorsports stage.
