In line with the government’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., police operatives successfully conducted two separate buy-bust operations in Guiguinto, Bulacan and Guagua, Pampanga on May 22, 2025.

The operations led to the arrest of two drug personalities and the confiscation of more than PHP 1.3 million worth of suspected shabu and a firearm.

In Barangay Panginay, Guiguinto, Bulacan, at around 1:45 a.m., operatives apprehended a 44-year-old suspect identified only by his alias “Anok,” a resident of the said barangay and listed in the PDEA unified drug watchlist.

Authorities seized 96.42 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP 655,600.00, a cal. .380 pistol with serial number 9326401 loaded with three live rounds, and the marked buy-bust money.

Later that evening, at around 10:00 p.m. in Barangay Bancal, Guagua, Pampanga, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 3 (RPDEU3), in coordination with the Guagua Municipal Police Station, carried out another operation which led to the arrest of a newly identified High-Value Individual (HVI) known as “Bert,” 40 years old.
Seized from his possession were 100 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately PHP 680,000.00, five PHP 1,000 marked bills, and one digital weighing scale.
Both suspects are now in the custody of their respective operating units for proper documentation and disposition. Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared. In addition, alias “Anok” will also face charges for violating RA 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, in relation to the Omnibus Election Code.
Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Regional Director PBGEN Jean S. Fajardo emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Philippine National Police in supporting the administration’s anti-drug campaign.
“These successful operations are a testament to the dedication of our personnel in PRO3 in eradicating illegal drugs. We will continue to intensify our campaign to maintain peace and order in the region. We also urge the public to cooperate and report any suspicious activities in their communities,” PBGEN Fajardo said.
