Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II personally inspected Barangay Anunas on Tuesday morning to assess the community’s condition amid continued rains and monitor creeks, waterways and other flood-prone areas.

Mayor Jon, joined by Councilors Ron Pineda and Alexander Indiongco and personnel from the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Environmental Management System and City Engineer’s Office, also visited evacuation sites housing residents who underwent preemptive evacuation.

The City Social Welfare and Development Office continues to assist evacuee families, while the City Health Office remains on standby for their medical needs.

The mayor also checked on Angeleño children benefiting from the Measles-Rubella vaccination program to ensure continued delivery of health services.

The city government urged residents near waterways and low-lying areas to monitor barangay advisories, coordinate with response teams and prioritize family safety.
