Rehabilitation and repair works on the Minalin Taildike are ongoing, with one-way traffic implemented along portions of the dike in San Nicolas and Sta. Catalina, according to Minalin Mayor Philip Siojo Naguit.
Mayor Naguit said the project, which had been requested for nearly four years, aims to strengthen the dike and protect Minalin and other areas of the fourth district from flooding along the Gugu River.

Naguit thanked DPWH Regional Director Engr. Arnold Ocampo, Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda for their support and continued coordination with DPWH.
The Minalin Municipal Engineering Office, led by Municipal Engineer Von Manalili, is monitoring the project. Naguit said the municipal government will continue coordinating with the national government and provide updates on the rehabilitation works.
