The Paleng-QR Ph Plus initiative was officially launched in Candelaria, Zambales, promoting safer and more convenient cashless transactions among local businesses and transport operators.

The initiative is a joint effort of the Municipal Government of Candelaria, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Zambales.

Through the program, market vendors, community shop owners and tricycle drivers are encouraged to use the standardized QR Ph system for digital payments.

DTI Zambales is also supporting the initiative by helping local micro-entrepreneurs strengthen their digital literacy and awareness of consumer protection, enabling them to better participate in the growing digital economy.
