Pampanga launches ALAGANG KABATAAN

The Provincial Government of Pampanga has established the Alagang Kabataan Provincial Inter-Agency Coordinating Council, aimed at strengthening collaboration to ensure the safety and mental health of students across the province.

The initiative covers 617 public schools and 153 private schools at the elementary and secondary levels in Pampanga. The council brings together key agencies and sectors, including the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Health (DOH), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), state universities and colleges, parents-teachers associations, and various NGOs.

Alongside the council’s formation, Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda will also inaugurate the Care and Counseling Center, located behind the OFW Hospital in Barangay Sindalan, San Fernando City. The facility is intended to provide support services for Kapampangan youth, particularly in mental health and well-being.
