Santa Rita’s streets came alive during the Putiucan Festival 2026, a key highlight of Piyestang Balen, as dancers, performers, and residents gathered to celebrate local culture and creativity.

The event featured a street dancing competition around the town proper and a free interpretative dance competition, where participating groups showcased energetic performances inspired by Santa Rita’s heritage and identity.

Strong community support was also evident as Ritenians filled the streets and venue to cheer for the competing groups.

Emerging as this year’s overall champion was the Putiucan Dancers of Bayung Santa Rita, who topped both the street dance and interpretative dance categories.

Organizers said the festival continues to highlight youth talent, cultural richness, and the enduring pride of being a Ritenian.
