PLDT Inc., Smart Communications, Inc., and DITO Telecommunity have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand network coverage and improve connectivity through a landmark infrastructure-sharing partnership.
The agreement allows the companies to share selected telecommunications infrastructure, including tower sites, in-building solutions, and submarine cable capacity, enabling them to maximize existing assets without monetary exchange.
PLDT Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan said the partnership reflects the industry’s shared responsibility to accelerate digital inclusion and connect more Filipinos, while DITO President and CEO Eric Alberto said the collaboration will help both companies deliver better services to their customers.
The initiative aims to reduce duplication of network investments, speed up network expansion, strengthen digital infrastructure, and provide broader coverage and more reliable connectivity nationwide.
