Prime Infra provides P8.1-M Support for Brigada Eskwela

Prime Infra, through the Prime Infra Foundation, has allocated P8.1 million in support of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) Brigada Eskwela program for School Year 2026-2027, benefiting more than 11,000 students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel across 40 public schools nationwide.

The initiative covered host communities in Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Pampanga, and Cebu City, reinforcing Prime Infra’s commitment to improving access to quality education and creating more conducive learning environments.

From June 1 to 5, employees and volunteers from Prime Infra and its subsidiaries—including Ahunan Power, Manila Water, Olympia Violago Water and Power, Prime Solar, and Prime Waste—joined Brigada Eskwela activities focused on digital inclusion, sustainability, and educational infrastructure enhancement.

Among the key interventions was the installation of Starlink satellite internet connectivity in 12 schools in Pakil, Laguna, providing improved access to digital learning resources and supporting technology-enabled education and digital literacy programs.

In Rizal, Prime Infra Foundation donated learning hubs equipped with computers and upgraded solar power systems in partner schools to ensure a more reliable electricity supply and better learning conditions for students.

Schools in Cavite received a multipurpose vehicle and various school equipment to help improve school operations and support educational activities.

Meanwhile, public schools in Pampanga and Cebu City benefited from the distribution of computers, laptops, printers, desks, chairs, armchairs, school supplies, hygiene kits, and medical kits to enhance both learning and school operations.

In Tanauan, Batangas, the foundation supported the repair and construction of covered walkways, as well as the cleaning, repainting, and refurbishment of classrooms and school buildings in preparation for the opening of classes.

“This school year, we ramped up our efforts to bridge the digital and infrastructural gaps in schools across our host communities to ensure that Filipino students have all the resources necessary for a conducive learning environment, helping them become future-ready,” Prime Infra Foundation said in a statement.

Since 2022, the foundation’s Brigada Eskwela initiatives have reached more than 47,000 beneficiaries across various communities.

This year’s Brigada Eskwela carried the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” highlighting the vital role of collaboration among community stakeholders, local governments, and private institutions in ensuring that schools remain safe, functional, and conducive to learning.

Prime Infra is the infrastructure arm of businessman Enrique K. Razon Jr., focusing on projects that address sustainability priorities in energy, water, and waste management while promoting inclusive economic growth and long-term social development.
