Three suspected members of a robbery group were wounded in an armed encounter with police during a hot pursuit operation at the southbound NLEX Toll Plaza in Barangay Turo, Bocaue, Bulacan on June 26.

According to Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), the suspects were allegedly linked to robbery incidents in Regions 1, 3, 4A, and the National Capital Region. Authorities said the suspects opened fire on police officers who had established blocking forces, prompting law enforcers to return fire.

The injured suspects were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, while personnel from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) processed the crime scene and gathered evidence.

PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Jess B. Mendez commended the operating teams for their swift response, reiterating the police force’s commitment to pursuing criminals while ensuring that all operations are conducted with professionalism, accountability, and respect for human rights under the banner of “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
