Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) has directed all Police Provincial Offices (PPOs) and City Police Offices (CPOs) in Central Luzon to strengthen partnerships with local government units (LGUs) and stakeholders to enhance school security.
The initiative follows the Bulacan Police Provincial Office’s collaboration with the City Government of Malolos, which turned over handheld metal detectors to Marcelo H. Del Pilar National High School on June 25 to bolster campus safety.
PRO3 Regional Director PBGen. Jess B. Mendez said all PPOs and CPOs have been instructed to implement similar school safety initiatives tailored to the needs of their localities through close coordination with LGUs, school administrators, and community partners.
The handheld metal detectors are expected to provide an additional layer of protection for students, teachers, and school personnel while reinforcing existing security measures in schools.
The regional police office said the initiative supports the directive of PNP Chief PGen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. to strengthen preventive security measures and maintain safe learning environments across Central Luzon through proactive policing and strong community partnerships.
