Project SINAG promotes bayanihan, volunteerism in Angeles City

The Department of the Interior and Local Government–Angeles City (DILG-AC) has launched Project SINAG, a community-based initiative aimed at strengthening volunteerism, civic engagement, and the spirit of bayanihan among residents.

As part of the program’s kickoff activities, DILG-AC conducted a Community Launching and Bayanihan Clean-Up Drive in Barangay Pandan in partnership with the Environmental Management System (EMS), barangay officials, volunteers, residents, and other community stakeholders.

The event featured an orientation on the goals of Project SINAG, inspirational messages on volunteerism, the oath-taking of volunteers, and a clean-up drive that symbolized unity and environmental responsibility.

Project SINAG seeks to encourage more Angeleños to participate in community-building activities and become active partners of the government in promoting cleanliness, order, and development in their respective barangays.

Initial activities under the program were held along the Abacan River on June 20, while additional community engagements are scheduled in Barangay Ninoy Aquino on June 27.

DILG-AC said initiatives such as Project SINAG demonstrate how meaningful change can be achieved through the collective efforts of the government and the community.
