Jamco expands Clark operations with P600-M investment

Aircraft interiors manufacturer Jamco Philippines Inc. (JPI) has committed at least P600 million in new investments as it formalized an expansion agreement with the Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) on June 23.

The lease agreement, signed by CIAC President and CEO Joseph Alcazar and JPI President Giovanni Atzei, strengthens the company’s 15-year presence in Clark and supports the continued development of the Clark Aviation Capital as a regional aerospace hub.

Under the agreement, JPI will expand its operations and transition from partial assembly work previously done in Japan to full and final assembly in Clark. The expanded facility is expected to be fully operational by 2028.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Jamco Corporation, JPI manufactures aircraft interior components for the global aerospace industry and supplies major aircraft manufacturers Airbus and Boeing.

CIAC said the expansion will boost the country’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities, attract high-value investments, and create substantial employment opportunities. Jamco’s workforce is projected to grow from around 450 employees to as many as 1,400 workers once the expansion is completed.

Finished products from the Clark facility will be shipped directly to Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France, and Boeing facilities in South Carolina and Seattle in the United States.

Officials said the project reinforces investor confidence in Clark as a competitive destination for aerospace manufacturing and supports the national government’s vision of transforming the Clark Civil Aviation Complex into the country’s premier aviation and aerospace hub.
