The Municipality of Magalang officially launched preparations for Pyestang Camaru 2026 during a press conference held on July 23, 2026, at Amver Place in Barangay Ayala.

Mayor Maria Lourdes P. Lacson invited residents and stakeholders to continue showcasing and celebrating Magalang’s rich cultural heritage, while Municipal Tourism Officer Ryan M. Miranda introduced the Executive Committee overseeing the festivities.

Dr. Arthur D. Dayrit, Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III, highlighted the unity of Magaleños and the importance of the upcoming celebration.

As part of the preparations, institutional partners formalized a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen collaboration on agriculture, climate change, and sustainable tourism.

The DA RFO III, Department of Tourism Region 3, Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU), University of Santo Tomas (UST) Graduate School-CCCPET, and PSAU College of Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship signed the agreement to support the successful staging of Pyestang Camaru 2026.
