Red Cross responds to Angeles City building collapse situation

The Philippine Red Cross deployed ambulance and welfare teams following the collapse of an under-construction nine-storey building in Barangay Balibago, Angeles City early Sunday morning, May 24.

Initial reports said the incident, which occurred between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., affected around 30 to 40 individuals.

According to the PRC, 10 trapped workers have already been rescued, while nine others safely evacuated the structure. Search and rescue operations remain ongoing.

The PRC Pampanga Chapter also established a First Aid Station and Welfare Desk on-site to provide medical assistance, psychosocial support, and tracing services for affected individuals and families.
