The municipal government of San Simon has formally broken ground for the construction of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) under the FY 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF).

The project aims to strengthen the town’s waste management system through improved recycling, proper waste segregation, and environmentally responsible disposal practices.

Local officials said the initiative underscores the shared responsibility between residents and the government in promoting disciplined waste handling and compliance with environmental standards.

Once completed, the MRF is expected to support San Simon’s efforts toward a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community.
