The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), Sembcorp Industries Ltd. and HSBC Philippines recently met with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and conducted a site visit to New Clark City (NCC) in Capas, Tarlac, as part of Sembcorp’s proposed investment in the Philippines.
The visit followed discussions between PEZA and BCDA on Sembcorp’s interest in developing industrial parks in the country, drawing from its experience in establishing Vietnam Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP).
PEZA’s partnership with HSBC Philippines is also expected to strengthen investment promotion efforts by leveraging the bank’s global network and relationships with international investors.
With its strategic location and modern infrastructure, NCC offers potential for industrial and business development as part of the Luzon Economic Corridor.
Sembcorp, a Singapore-based provider of sustainable energy and urban solutions, specializes in industrial park development and utilities. The proposed investment highlights the potential for collaboration among PEZA, BCDA, and HSBC Philippines in advancing sustainable, high-impact projects in the country.
