The Angeles City government, under Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, is strengthening its plans and programs to address the needs and rights of children in the city.

The city is conducting a Situation Analysis (SIT-AN), Local Development Plan for Children (LDPC), Local Investment Program for Children (LIPC), and an update of the Local Code for Children for 2026–2028.

The planning process aims to provide a clearer picture of children’s conditions and guide government programs and resources toward education, health, protection, social welfare, and meaningful participation.

City offices, Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) members, stakeholders and children themselves are taking part through consultations, forums, child-led activities and community initiatives.

Through data-driven and collaborative planning, the city aims to develop more responsive and sustainable programs to ensure that every Angeleño child is safe, healthy, protected, heard and given opportunities to thrive.
