Pampanga First District Representative Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. lauded the Philippine National Police Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) for the swift arrest of William Meria Corre, who is accused of a series of robbery and sexual offense incidents in Pampanga.
Lazatin praised the police for their dedication and prompt action, saying the arrest reflects the commitment of PRO3 personnel in protecting the public and bringing wanted suspects to justice.
Corre was arrested on July 9, 2026, following an intensified manhunt launched by PRO3, which had offered a ₱500,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Lazatin also pledged an additional ₱100,000 reward from his personal funds.
The case gained widespread public attention after one of the alleged victims, a female vlogger, shared her experience on social media.
Authorities continue to encourage other possible victims of Corre to come forward and file appropriate charges.
