Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Chief Operating Officer Mark T. Lapid was honored as a “Natatanging Pilipino sa Larangan ng Paglilingkod sa Tao at sa Bayan” during the Duyan Ka ng Magiting Awards 2026 held on June 12 in celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day.

The award recognized Lapid’s contributions to public service and leadership in advancing tourism infrastructure development across the country. Under his leadership, TIEZA has continued to implement projects aimed at improving access to tourism destinations while promoting sustainable and inclusive growth.

Presented alongside the Duyan Ka ng Magiting Trophy, the recognition is given to individuals who exemplify patriotism, excellence, and commitment to nation-building.
