The Liga ng mga Barangay Province of Tarlac has expressed its “full and unwavering support” for Mayor Susan A. Yap, affirming her as the “duly elected and legitimate Mayor of Tarlac City.”
In Resolution No. 02, Series of 2025, unanimously approved during the Liga’s regular meeting on October 27, 2025, members declared their recognition of Mayor Yap’s lawful mandate, citing her “faithful adherence to all election laws and proven record of service to the people of Tarlac.”



The resolution was signed by Liga President Hon. Edward Christopher C. Suarez, along with Liga officers and municipal presidents, and certified by Liga Secretary Hon. Marie Carmela T. Estrada.
The Liga noted Mayor Yap’s long record of public service, from her years as Representative of Tarlac’s 2nd District (2010–2019) to her three consecutive terms as Provincial Governor (2016–2025), during which she implemented “progressive programs in education, health, agriculture, infrastructure, and good governance.”
The body also emphasized that Mayor Yap was duly elected by the people of Tarlac City** in the May 2025 elections, meeting all residency and voter qualification requirements under the Omnibus Election Code.
Mayor Yap, in turn, thanked the Liga ng mga Barangay for their support and trust, expressing her continued commitment to unity, stability, and the sustained progress of Tarlac City.
Copies of the resolution were furnished to the Office of the Provincial Governor, the City Government of Tarlac, and other concerned agencies for reference and action.
