The Tour of Luzon officially shifts into high gear as the MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026: Heritage in Motion, powered by Cignal, was formally launched at The Lighthouse, Meralco Compound.
Sports, business, and media leaders gathered for the unveiling of the 2026 edition, which organizers describe as a mission to bring the race closer to Filipino communities while elevating the countryโs premier cycling spectacle onto the global stage.





Chief Organizer and CEO of the 2026 Local Organizing Committee Arrey A. Perez outlined the vision of expanding community engagement and strengthening international ties. In a major announcement, Perez revealed ongoing relationship-building efforts between the Tour and La Vuelta a Espaรฑa through organizer Unipublic, opening doors for global collaboration and exposure for Filipino riders.
Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) President and CEO Gilbert F. Sta. Maria reaffirmed the companyโs commitment to nation-building through sports, pledging continued support to elevate Philippine cycling in Asia and beyond.






The launch featured a screening of the 2025 documentary chronicling โThe Great Revivalโ of the Tour, setting the tone for what organizers promise will be an even bigger edition in 2026.
Adding to the excitement, MVP Group of Companies and TOL 2026 Local Organizing Committee Chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan announced that this yearโs โpot of gloryโ will double from last yearโs prize poolโan emphatic show of support for Filipino athletes competing on home soil.
Race officials also unveiled the official teaser for the 2026 edition, while Technical Director and Head Commissaire Lorenzo M. Lomibao Jr. presented key details on routes and safety preparations to ensure world-class standards across all stages. Pearl Anne D. Managuelod of the Philippine Sports Institute introduced the High Performance Team, reinforcing athlete development and support systems for the grueling multi-stage race.
Closing the program, Philippine Sports Commission Chairman Patrick C. Gregorio lauded the organizersโ commitment to Filipino athletes and called for unity behind the national cycling movement.
The MPTC Tour of Luzon 2026: Heritage in Motion is set as a 14-stage international race from April 29 to May 13, 2026. Organizers promise high-speed duels, tactical battles, and unforgettable moments as the countryโs roads once again host Asiaโs rising cycling powerhouse.
With global ambitions and renewed momentum, the Tour pedals forwardโcarrying national pride and positioning Philippine cycling firmly back on the world map.
