The Mabalacat City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has been honored with the prestigious Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) for its outstanding commitment to disaster risk reduction and management. This recognition signifies the CDRRMO’s exceptional dedication to ensuring the safety and resilience of the city’s residents, and it sets a new standard for disaster preparedness and response in the region.
The Gawad Kalasag Awards, an annual recognition program organized by the NDRRMC, aims to acknowledge the remarkable efforts of local government units and organizations in implementing effective disaster risk reduction and management practices. The Seal of Excellence is the highest distinction bestowed by the NDRRMC, recognizing outstanding performance and full compliance with the standards set for the city category.

The award ceremony, which took place at The Manila Hotel, was attended by representatives of the CDRRMO headed by Jeffrey Santos, including its dedicated team members whose unwavering efforts have contributed to this remarkable achievement.
