The City Government of Mabalacat was recognized as an Outstanding Local Government Unit (LGU) at the 36th National Statistics Month Gawad Estadistika held on October 30, emerging as the only city in Central Luzon to receive the distinction.

The award highlights the city’s strong commitment under Mayor Geld Aquino’s leadership to advancing statistical development and civil registration programs.

Mayor Aquino accepted the award together with City Civil Registrar Tyrone Gueco and City Administrator Geraldine Bernardino, reaffirming the administration’s continued support for initiatives that strengthen data-driven governance.

Earlier this year, Mabalacat hosted the National Convention on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CCRVCS) at SMX Convention Center Clark, attended by registrars, statisticians, and other stakeholders nationwide.

“Pinaplano na rin ng Mabalacat City ang pagpapatupad ng digitization project upang higit pang mapabilis at mapadali ang mga proseso sa civil registry at iba pang serbisyong lokal,” Aquino shared, emphasizing the city’s drive toward modernization and efficient public service.
