NGCP IS READY!

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) said the country’s transmission network is ready to accommodate additional electricity supply, noting that the Philippines currently has 10,260 megawatts (MW) of available transmission capacity.

However, NGCP emphasized that more power plants are needed in strategic locations to fully utilize the grid’s capacity and ensure reliable power delivery.

The grid operator is encouraging power generation companies to connect their facilities to the transmission network, particularly in areas where capacity is available.

Interested developers may coordinate with the NGCP Transmission Planning Department through gridplanning@ngcp.ph for more information on potential grid connection opportunities.
