PAL CARGO TAKES OFF INTO THE DIGITAL ERA

As Philippine Airlines (PAL) celebrates its 85th year, PAL Cargo is charting a bold new course in freight and logistics—supporting Filipino entrepreneurs, powering e-commerce, and offering reliable cargo services across the country and beyond.

“In today’s digital-first economy, we’re expanding PAL Cargo’s reach and capabilities to help local businesses grow and compete globally,” said Jason Siy, PAL Vice President for Cargo.

Smarter, Safer, More Connected Cargo Solutions
From high-value items and perishables to e-commerce and pharmaceuticals, PAL Cargo offers a full range of freight services for individuals, SMEs, and corporations. Its strict handling protocols—including IATA pet transport standards and security escorts—ensure safe and efficient transport, whether domestic or international.

Through partnerships with Airspeed and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), PAL Cargo is making it easier for MSMEs to ship their products across the Philippines and abroad. A formal partnership with DTI will be launched soon.

Even in areas without PAL flights, global partners help extend its cargo services to new markets.

Digital Tools for a Seamless Experience
PAL Cargo is embracing digital transformation with online booking, payment, and tracking for domestic shipments—soon expanding to international services. A mobile-friendly platform is also underway.

Upcoming offerings include a Port-to-Door delivery option and Mabuhay Miles integration, allowing cargo clients to earn rewards.

Among its top services are Rush Cargo, which guarantees loading on specific flights, and Block Space Agreements for long-term reserved capacity on domestic routes.

Strategic Hubs and Stronger Demand
PAL Cargo operates out of major hubs in Manila (NAIA), Clark, Cebu, and Davao—ensuring fast, efficient nationwide delivery and gateway access to international markets.

Amid rising global air cargo demand, PAL Cargo is positioning itself as a key player in helping Filipino MSMEs and exporters connect with the world. “We’re here to help local manufacturers and entrepreneurs reach new markets with dependable and competitive logistics solutions,” Siy said.
