PAL expands domestic flights for holiday rush

Philippine Airlines (PAL) is gearing up for the October 2025 peak travel season with a major boost in its domestic network to meet the surge in demand. Starting this October, PAL will add more flights across its busiest routes, giving travelers greater flexibility and connectivity across the country.

Highlights include:

  • Manila routes: More weekly flights to Butuan (14→21), Cagayan de Oro (35→42), Cotabato (11→14), Legazpi/Daraga (21→28), Dumaguete (14→18), and Tacloban (21→25).
  • Siargao access: Daily Manila–Siargao flights, 21 weekly Cebu–Siargao, and daily Clark–Siargao services.
  • Island favorites: 42 weekly Manila–Boracay (Caticlan), 14 weekly Cebu–Boracay, 7 Manila–Coron (Busuanga), 14 Clark–Coron, and 21 Cebu–Coron.
  • Other destinations: Manila–Antique (3x weekly) and Manila–Catarman (4x weekly).
  • Iloilo upgrade: Five Manila–Iloilo flights to use widebody Airbus A330s from Dec 8, 2025 to Mar 28, 2026.

With these additions, PAL will operate 1,154 weekly domestic flights out of Manila—7% more than before—translating to an extra 14,000+ weekly seats for travelers this holiday season.

“By expanding our domestic flight route network through increased frequency, we are able to efficiently cater to the needs of travelers. These additional flights reflect PAL’s commitment to increase connectivity, boost the local economy, and drive tourism,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.

For hassle-free holiday trips, PAL advises passengers to arrive 3 hours before domestic and 4 hours before international flights, and to check flight status at http://www.philippineairlines.com.
