The first session of “Ang Kahapon ay Ngayon” officially opened on April 19, 2026 at the Bale-Balayan Museum for the Poor, gathering participants for a day of cultural immersion and artistic learning.

The opening session was led by Edru Abraham, also known as “Lolo Edru,” together with Kontra-Gapi. The workshop began with participants, known as the Anak Bale-Balayan, actively engaging in activities that highlighted music, movement, and creative expression.

Attendees were introduced to indigenous instruments and traditional forms of dance, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge and cultural appreciation. Organizers noted the strong participation and enthusiasm of the group, reflecting a vibrant interest in preserving and promoting Filipino heritage.
