The Provincial Government of Pampanga has distributed over ₱18.9 million in financial aid to nearly 5,000 marginalized farmers, with Governor-elect Lilia “Nanay” Pineda personally leading the assistance efforts on behalf of outgoing Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, who will assume the role of Vice Governor.
A total of 4,728 farmers from various towns in Pampanga each received ₱4,000 in cash assistance along with grocery packages. The initiative was launched to ease the impact of falling palay prices and support farmers during the onset of the rainy season.

The assistance was made possible through the coordination of the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO), Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and the Provincial Information Office (PIO). Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan also joined the distribution held in various parts of the province.
In her message, Nanay Pineda acknowledged the delay in distribution due to the election ban enforced by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) but assured farmers of the government’s continuing support.
“You make sure that every Filipino has food on the table. We owe you our gratitude,” she said.
Provincial Agriculturist Jimmy Manliclic also pointed to ongoing programs aimed at long-term agricultural development, such as the establishment of Rice Processing Centers in Guagua and Lubao, which will help farmers get fairer prices for their produce.
Aside from financial aid, the Capitol also continues to provide free medical assistance to Kapampangans through barangay health workers and local officials.
One of the beneficiaries, Rey Cunanan of San Miguel, San Simon, expressed his thanks: “This is a big help for our family.”
