Celebrating its 17th anniversary, Gabay Guro marked a milestone with the launch of the countryโs first Health and Wellness Festival for Teachers, introducing a new program pillar in collaboration with mWell.
Held at the Ynares Sports Complex in Pasig City, the event was dedicated to addressing educators’ holistic health, recognizing their central role in nurturing the nationโs youth.
Under the theme โTeachers Inspiring Change, Building the Countryโs Future,โ the festival went beyond entertainment, featuring health consultations, wellness workshops, and wearable technology, all tailored to support teachers’ well-being. The event brought together experts in lifestyle medicine, fitness coaches, and celebrity athletes to promote physical and mental wellness.

The Health and Wellness Fest, organized by Gabay Guro in partnership with mWell, offered free health services for teachers, including consultations, fitness sessions, and workshops. This wellness initiative promotes preventive care and empowers teachers with accessible mWell health services, available anytime through a few taps on their phones.
The event also featured interactive discussions on mental health, stress management, nutrition, and self-careโessential topics that often go overlooked in the teaching profession. Teachers were able to explore experiential booths focused on fitness, nutrition, mental health, wearables, and telemedicine.

Complementing this, the mWellness Score provides daily tracking of physical health, including activity levels, step count, and sleep quality. Teachers can further engage with wellness challenges, leaderboards, and gamified progress tracking, optimized with mWell wearables like the mWell Watch and Rings for a personalized health journey.

At the heart of this wellness initiative is mWellโs digital healthcare ecosystem, designed to make healthcare accessibleโfrom virtual consultations to telehealth options, ensuring teachers can receive care anytime, anywhere.
Supported by PLDT Home, the partnership with mWell allows Gabay Guro to bridge technology and well-being for educators across the country. This digital-first approach complements Gabay Guro’s mission, which has already provided over 3,000 scholarships and built classrooms in underserved areas, empowering teachers to teach in well-equipped environments. Through resources like the Gabay Guro Super App, teachers have ongoing access to career development tools and continuous learning opportunities.

The Wellness Fest welcomed celebrated wellness experts and personalities, including a Zumba session led by popular YouTube group TML Crew. The event received support from various wellness and lifestyle partners, such as Awaken Fitness Center, Vision Express, BDO, and PLDT Telescoop, alongside sponsors like InLife Insurance, Purefoods, Huawei Philippines, and Del Monte Kitchenomics. Together, these partners helped create a vibrant and health-focused experience for teachers.
Teachers enjoyed a full day of wellness and entertainment with appearances by celebrities like Kevin Montellano and Teacher Georcelle with the G Force, as well as support from Gabay Guroโs volunteer athletes, including members of the PLDT High Speed Hitters and the Meralco Bolts.
