Amid recent heavy rains that affected several communities in Angeles City, the OKCares Foundation, in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), carried out a relief operation to provide immediate aid to impacted families.
A total of 1,200 families across 13 barangays received food packs worth ₱500 each, containing essential supplies to meet urgent needs. The barangays covered were Balibago, Agapito del Rosario, Salapungan, Sapangbato, Amsic, Pulungbulu, Anunas, Cuayan, Pampang, Malabanias, Ninoy Aquino, Pandan, and Capaya.

The distribution was implemented in close coordination with barangay officials to ensure that the most affected households were prioritized. Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin Jr. commended the partnership for its swift response, noting that the strong collaboration between OKCares, CSWDO, and local leaders enabled the timely delivery of assistance.
The relief effort not only addressed immediate food needs but also reinforced community resilience through the city’s established local governance framework and public-private partnerships.
