Residents of Angeles City are up in arms over the extra charges they’ve been receiving from Prime Water. Months ago, an “Environmental Fee” was added in their monthly bills. Until now, we don’t know where that money collected goes. 

Questions being asked now are: Is the money collected going to the city coffers to build its own sewage treatment plant or going directly to the pockets of a private corporation who was the winning bidder (?) to do the dirty job of collecting the sewage?

Was there a basis to add the “environmental fee” to the monthly Prime Water bill? What’s the septage reflected in Prime Water ORs? And what is City Ordinance No. 640-S2022 all about?

Whoever sponsored this resolution in the City Council should explain properly to Angeleños why and where the money is going as you are answerable to your constituents.

Those e-bikes plying the streets of the city should be banned. They’re not registered and don’t carry any insurance. Worst part is that they seem to own the roads when they’re out, just like those tricycles.

They’re quite convenient to use, yes of course, but not on main streets, where we already have issues with tricycle drivers and motorcyclists who also think they own the roads.

Local government units should initiate educational campaigns on the proper usage of the roads, especially those e-bikes. If users won’t or don’t want to follow road rules, then, impound them. We already have enough headaches with the proliferation of tricycle units in the city, some of which are not even registered.

Calling the attention of the LGUs of Angeles, Mabalacat, the City of San Fernando, the LTO, the Highway Patrol Group and the local police. 

Please make our streets safer to drive in.

The SCTEX Pasig-Potrero Bridge is now open to all vehicle classes. The bridge was closed last July 16 for emergency safety inspection and assessment due to constant heavy rains. 

The bridge was given the go ahead signal by a third party bridge expert so travel to and from the Subic Bay Freeport is now back to normal.

In conjunction with the celebration of the Angeles City Twin Fiesta, the city government will hold the Kambal Fiesta on October 7.
