BOC-Port of Clark passes Internal Quality Audit

Prepares for ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance

The Bureau of Customs โ€“ Port of Clark successfully passed the Internal Quality Audit (IQA) conducted by the Interim Internal Quality Management Systems Office (IIQMSO) during a two-day audit held on March 25 and 26, 2025.

The audit resulted in nine findings, including three minor nonconformities, four Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs), and two positive findings. These outcomes reflect the Port of Clarkโ€™s proactive efforts to maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS).

The purpose of the IQA was to ensure the Port of Clarkโ€™s QMS aligns with international standards, in preparation for the upcoming ISO 9001:2015 surveillance audit, set for June 2025.

District Collector Jairus Reyes underscored the significance of the audit, saying, โ€œAligning our processes with quality standards is not just about complianceโ€”itโ€™s about continuously improving how we serve our clients.โ€

The success of the audit aligns with the directives of Customs Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio, who advocates for ISO compliance as part of the Bureau of Customsโ€™ 2025 Priority Agenda. This agenda includes digitalizing customs processes, meeting and exceeding collection targets, simplifying procedures, facilitating secure trade, curbing smuggling, and enhancing employee welfare and development.

The Bureau of Customs โ€“ Port of Clark remains committed to upholding the highest standards of quality, integrity, and innovation in customs service.
