CIAC pushes key projects aligned with 2025 SONA priorities

Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) is accelerating major infrastructure and development projects in support of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) agenda, with efforts focused on agriculture, health, education, and sports.

CIAC President Jojit Alcazar said the agency is actively working to transform Clark into the country’s premier logistics hub through initiatives that align with the President’s priority sectors.

Among the flagship projects is the National Food Hub, a 47-hectare development dedicated to improving the country’s agricultural supply chain. An initial 12-hectare phase will be fast-tracked, according to Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. The hub aims to centralize food storage, processing, and distribution, enhancing access for farmers and boosting food security.

To support the administration’s healthcare goals, CIAC is partnering with Philippine Pharma Procurement Inc. (PPPI) to build the Clark Pharma Hub—a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical logistics center with air cargo and cold chain capabilities. This facility will help ensure affordable and timely delivery of medicines nationwide and support the “Botika at Bakuna Para Sa Mamamayan” program.

CIAC’s Urban Renewal Program also addresses disaster resilience and environmental sustainability. Projects include the Dolores Riverpark with advanced water recycling systems and an Aviation Park with an underground rainwater impounding facility.

In response to the SONA’s call for a nationwide sports program, CIAC will construct an indoor sports arena in Clark. Designed to meet global standards, the facility will serve as a multipurpose venue for local and international events, supporting grassroots sports development.

On education, CIAC is developing a Clark Aviation Campus to train a new generation of aviation professionals. The campus will feature modern training facilities and programs to meet the rising global demand for aviation workers.

“These initiatives demonstrate CIAC’s full commitment to the President’s vision for inclusive development,” Alcazar said. “We are building a resilient, future-ready Clark that serves as a model for sustainable and strategic growth.”

CIAC manages the Clark Aviation Complex, including Clark International Airport, Clark Global City, and more than 50 locators in aviation, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial sectors.
