The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) introduced its BaLinkBayan initiative to Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II and the Angeles City Government in a recent presentation.
BaLinkBayan is an official online portal that aims to connect overseas Filipinos with their hometowns by providing access to government services, investment opportunities, and avenues for participation in local development programs.
During the presentation, CFO representatives highlighted the platform’s goal of strengthening collaboration among overseas Filipinos, national government agencies, and local government units to support economic, social, and cultural development.
City officials welcomed the initiative, noting its potential to enhance engagement with Angeleños abroad and promote inclusive growth through global partnerships. The City Information Office also expressed support for the program and its implementation in the city.
