A total of 10,109 residents from coastal barangays in the municipalities of Minalin and Macabebe benefited from the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s (DSWD) Food-for-Work Program, which combines livelihood assistance with environmental protection and disaster preparedness efforts.
The beneficiaries came from the barangays of Bulac, Dawe, Saplad, and Maniango in Minalin, as well as Dalayap, San Esteban, and Consuelo in Macabebe.

Among them was Grace Ronquillo of Barangay Saplad, who expressed gratitude for the assistance provided through the program.
“Laking pasasalamat po namin sa Kapitolyo sa paghatid ng ayuda mula sa DSWD. Nakakatuwa po na sa programang ito ay nakatulong din kami sa paglilinis ng aming paligid,” Ronquillo said.

Representing Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution of family food packs together with Fourth District Board Members Dr. Kaye Naguit and Atty. Vince Calara.
Also present to support the activity were Minalin Mayor Philip Naguit, Macabebe Vice Mayor Vince Flores, Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco, Lubao Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, and barangay officials from participating communities.
The program was implemented through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), headed by PSWD Officer Fe Manarang, in coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).
The initiative forms part of the “Clean-Up Drive in the Coastal Areas of Pampanga: A Community Empowerment and Disaster Preparedness Project,” undertaken in partnership with DSWD Field Office III to strengthen environmental stewardship while providing assistance to vulnerable communities.
