As part of its continuing corporate social responsibility initiatives, Soliman Ecowaste Management Corporation, through its Soliman Cares program, joined Brigada Eskwela 2026 by providing assistance to partner schools and strengthening its environmental education efforts.
Aligned with this year’s Brigada Eskwela theme, the company distributed financial assistance, walis tingting, dustpans made from recycled containers, and organic fertilizers to eight partner schools: Eden Elementary School, Camuning Elementary School, Culubasa Elementary School, Suclaban Elementary School, Acli Elementary School, Gandus Elementary School, Malino Elementary School, and Malino National High School.

A highlight of the activity was the renewal of the Memorandum of Agreement for the “Bote sa Basura, Gamit sa Eskwela” program, a long-running initiative that promotes proper waste management and resource recovery in schools.
Under the program, participating schools use recycling bins fabricated from recycled plastic bottles. Recyclable materials collected by the schools are periodically weighed and converted into school supplies and other educational resources based on their needs.
Company officials said the initiative goes beyond recycling by promoting circular economy principles and demonstrating how waste materials can be transformed into valuable resources that benefit both education and the environment.
In addition, kindergarten pupils of Eden Elementary School received school kits to support their learning as they prepare for the new school year.
Through its participation in Brigada Eskwela 2026 and the continued implementation of the “Bote sa Basura, Gamit sa Eskwela” program, Soliman Ecowaste reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education, environmental stewardship, and sustainable community development.
