4Ps graduates receive caravan of services

The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Municipal Operations Office of San Miguel, Bulacan successfully conducted the USWAG KABENE: 4Ps Barangayan and Caravan of Services for beneficiaries set to graduate from the program this year.

The activity opened with a tree-planting initiative at Masalipit Dam, where more than 100 parent leaders, active beneficiaries, and exiting 4Ps members participated in partnership with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).

The caravan continued at the Ricardo C. Silverio Sr. Multipurpose Center, where government agencies and civil society organizations provided various services to help beneficiaries transition toward self-sufficiency.

Among the services provided were:

  • Alternative Learning System (ALS): Enrolled 38 beneficiaries to continue their education.
  • Public Employment Service Office (PESO): Conducted TESDA skills training on buchi and empanada making for 25 exiting beneficiaries.
  • Commission on Population and Development (CPD/POPCOM): Held a family planning seminar and distributed free contraceptives to 37 beneficiaries.
  • Yoda Metal and Crafts Production: Donated school supplies to 72 daycare and kindergarten learners from 4Ps families.
  • Municipal Nutrition Action Office (MNAO): Distributed pregnancy kits, lactation kits, nutritious food, and drinks to 95 beneficiaries.

  • Palawan Express Insurance: Provided free insurance coverage to 88 graduating beneficiaries lacking social insurance through the support of Mayor John A. Alvarez.

Organizers said the successful activity reflected the strong collaboration among the Municipal Operations Office, local government, partner agencies, and civil society organizations in empowering 4Ps beneficiaries. The initiative also underscored that graduating from the 4Ps program marks the beginning of a more stable, productive, and self-reliant future for beneficiary families.
