Angeles City promotes beekeeping as alternative livelihood

The Angeles City Agriculture Office, in partnership with the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI), is promoting beekeeping as an alternative livelihood by introducing its potential to communities across the city.

Through visits to various barangays, the initiative aims to familiarize residents with the basics of beekeeping, its potential economic benefits, and the skills needed to develop it into a sustainable source of income.

Beekeeping can provide opportunities to produce honey and other bee-related products, depending on local conditions, proper training, and available support. Bees also play a vital role in pollination, helping plants and crops reproduce and supporting agricultural productivity.

With the support of Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II, the city government continues to explore livelihood initiatives that equip Angeleños with new skills, encourage alternative income sources, and promote community development.
