Angeles City boosts disaster readiness through USAR training graduation

The local government of Angeles City continues to strengthen its disaster preparedness efforts as participants successfully completed the Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Training led by the Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office.

The training, supported under the leadership of Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, brought together personnel from the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the City Engineer’s Office. Participants underwent a series of lectures and hands-on simulation exercises designed to enhance their capabilities in responding to various emergency and disaster scenarios.

The program aims to improve coordination and readiness among key city agencies, particularly in situations that require swift and efficient rescue operations.

Through initiatives like this, the Angeles City government continues to reinforce its commitment to safeguarding lives and ensuring a resilient and disaster-ready community for Angeleños.
