Cebu Pacific opens modern training hub for aviation workforce

Cebu Pacific on Monday inaugurated a new state-of-the-art training facility for its pilots and cabin crew, reinforcing its continued investment in strengthening the country’s aviation industry through capacity building and operational excellence.

The Cebu Pacific Training Academy, located in Parañaque City, is a purpose-built facility designed to deliver high-quality, hands-on, and experience-based training for aspiring aviation professionals. It is among the first centralized and modern aviation training centers of its kind in the Philippines.

Spanning 1,685 square meters, the facility is equipped with Airbus A330 and ATR door trainers, cabin mock-ups, slide trainers, as well as classrooms and equipment rooms that enable scenario-based and practical instruction led by the airline’s instructors.

The inauguration was led by Cebu Pacific Chairman Lance Gokongwei, Chief Operations Officer Javier Massot, and Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines Director General Raul Del Rosario.

Massot said the training academy reflects the airline’s commitment to investing in the Philippines and advancing the local aviation sector, with a focus on operational excellence, service consistency, and nation-building. He added that the facility aims to help raise a new generation of capable and future-ready aviation professionals.

To further support aspiring pilots, Cebu Pacific revived its Cadet Pilot Program in 2024 in partnership with Airworks Aviation, offering structured training, mentorship, and a pathway to employment with the airline. As of April 2026, the program has produced its second batch of graduates.

The airline has also been conducting cabin crew recruitment drives across its key hubs nationwide to support its expanding operations.

Cebu Pacific currently operates the widest network in the country, serving 35 domestic and 26 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
