Rescue operations intensified Thursday afternoon after rescue radar equipment detected four moving entities beneath the rubble at the ground zero of the collapsed structure in Barangay Balibago.
According to the Unified Command Management Option overseeing the ongoing search and rescue operations, the detection was recorded at around 2:50 p.m. and immediately reported to the Incident Command Post (ICP).

Following the development, Responsible Official and Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II directed responders to intensify rescue efforts in the identified sector in hopes of locating possible survivors trapped inside the debris.
Authorities, however, clarified that the detected movements do not automatically confirm the presence of human survivors. Based on previous briefings by the Unified Command, the rescue radar equipment is capable of detecting any form of movement or life signs, including those coming from animals such as rodents, cats, or dogs.
Despite this, rescue teams continue exhaustive search operations as Mayor Lazatin expressed hope that survivors may still be found beneath the rubble.
Search and rescue operations remain ongoing at the site.
This is a developing story.
