Mayor Geld Aquino led the inauguration of a newly constructed covered court in Barangay Mawaque, which will serve as a venue for various community activities and programs for residents.

Joining the inauguration were Barangay Mawaque officials led by Lhoy Gomez.

The opening of the facility also marked the official launch of a basketball league, the first activity held at the new covered court.

The project forms part of the city government’s continuing infrastructure development efforts aimed at bringing more facilities and services directly to communities across Mabalacat City.

According to Mayor Aquino, the newly inaugurated covered court is among the series of projects being implemented by his administration for different barangays in the city.

He added that more projects are set to be carried out in the coming months, including another covered court and a multi-purpose building in Barangay Mawaque to further expand facilities available to residents.

Residents and barangay officials also expressed gratitude for the new facility and the continued implementation of community development projects in their area.
