The Provincial Government of Tarlac (PGT), led by Governor Christian Tell Yap through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), formally launched the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) on July 1 with a Eucharistic Mass at San Sebastian Cathedral, celebrated by Bishop Roberto Mallari.

The kickoff activity marked the start of the month-long observance mandated under Executive Order No. 29, which aims to promote public awareness and strengthen a culture of disaster preparedness and resilience.

The event was attended by Vice Governor Estelita Aquino, Board Member Harmes Sembrano, and PDRRMO Head Marvin Guaing.

Planned activities for the month include seminars, drills, and other preparedness programs, alongside a fun run dubbed “Run for Resilience” scheduled on July 4.
