Search and rescue operations continue at the site of the collapsed under-construction building in Balibago, Angeles City as government agencies, rescue teams, and volunteers work together to intensify efforts and speed up operations in the area.
Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II once again led the Unified Command System meeting this morning as Responsible Official (R.O.), together with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO), Philippine National Police (PNP), and other response units to discuss the latest developments and strengthen strategies for the ongoing rescue operations.









Responders continue to utilize specialized equipment, including thermal scanning technology and K9 search units, to help detect possible signs of life within the collapsed structure. Authorities said all available resources and technical capabilities are being maximized to support the continuing operations.
The Environmental Management System (EMS) is also assisting in maintaining order and cleanliness in the operational area, including the clearing of metal debris and other materials to ensure the safe and efficient movement of rescue teams on site.
Meanwhile, the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) remains on standby to ensure smooth traffic flow and the unhampered entry and exit of ambulances, rescue vehicles, and other emergency response units around the operational area.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), continues to provide food assistance, transportation assistance, financial aid, and psychosocial support to affected individuals and their families.
Mayor Lazatin also personally met with the families of the missing victims to provide updates, extend his sympathies, and assure them of the local government’s continued support amid the ongoing operations. He likewise gave official updates to the media regarding the current status of the rescue efforts.
Authorities continue to encourage the public to offer prayers for everyone involved in the incident and to rely only on official information released by the Unified Command System.
