The Angeles City Government, led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, has launched a new dialogue with foreign investors operating in the city’s entertainment district to promote safe tourism, good governance, and responsible business practices.
The meeting brought together representatives from various local and national agencies—including the City Tourism Office, ACTIVE (Angeles City Tourist Information and Visitors Engagement), City Health and Sanitation Offices, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Business Permit and Licensing Division, PDEA, and the Angeles City Police Office—alongside business stakeholders and investors.

The discussion focused on strengthening labor compliance, public safety, and sanitation standards, while reaffirming the city’s zero-tolerance policy on illegal activities such as human trafficking, gambling, and drug use. Officials also emphasized the city’s drive for transparency, accountability, and efficiency in business processes to ensure a safe, clean, and investor-friendly environment.
“Our goal is to create a safe, clean, and lively destination for tourists, and a fair, compliant, and attractive landscape for investors,” Mayor Lazatin said. “We are committed to enforcing laws that protect communities while promoting sustainable growth and world-class hospitality.”
The city and investors agreed to maintain open communication through regular meetings and inspections to ensure continued compliance and collaboration — strengthening Angeles City’s standing as a premier destination for safe and responsible tourism.
