The Philippine Air Force (PAF) paid tribute to Major Jude S. Salang-Oy PAF and First Lieutenant April John B. Dadulla PAF, rendering solemn military honors as their remains arrived at Colonel Jesus Villamor Air Base in Pasay City aboard a C-130 aircraft on March 8, 2025.

Their transfer followed their departure from Lumbia Airport in Cagayan de Oro.
Their families and loved ones, joined by key military and government officials, received the fallen pilots’ remains. Among those present were Defense Secretary Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., Special Assistant to the President Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr., AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. PA, PAF Commanding General Lieutenant General Arthur M. Cordura PAF, and other PAF key officers.

In recognition of their extraordinary courage and selfless service, both officers were posthumously awarded the Distinguished Aviation Cross, the highest honor for valor and exceptional contributions to military aviation.

Their heroism in the face of danger reflects the Air Force’s unwavering commitment to duty and sacrifice.
The PAF extended its deepest condolences to the families of Major Salang-Oy and First Lieutenant Dadulla, emphasizing that their bravery serves as an inspiration to the entire Air Force and the Filipino people.

To honor their legacy, vigil nights will be held at Villamor Air Base and Basa Air Base, allowing fellow airmen to pay their respects. Interment details will be finalized by their families.
