Twenty members of the Cabayaoasan Farmers Agricultural Cooperative (CFAC) in Paniqui, Tarlac recently participated in a training session on social media marketing and e-commerce, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in partnership with Tarlac State University (TSU).

The activity, conducted under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), aims to equip farmers with digital skills to enhance their online presence and product sales.

TSU Office of Alumni Affairs Director Winston Abalos led the session, covering brand identity building, popular social media platforms in the Philippines, and the use of e-commerce tools like Shopee and TikTok. DTI Trade-Industry Development Specialist Paolo Manese highlighted the growing importance of digital platforms for small enterprises.

“The cooperative’s mushroom products are gaining local recognition. This training will help them expand to online markets,” Manese said.

CFAC Chairperson Rolly Salcedo expressed gratitude for the support, saying the session was timely as the group plans to enter the online market.

DTI assured continued support to keep the cooperative updated on digital trends and opportunities.
