Globe has mounted its largest-ever Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP) session, engaging more than 3,500 students at Baliwag Polytechnic College (BTech) in a single learning event.

The initiative, led by four Globe DTP Ambassadors, focused on online safety, cybersecurity awareness, responsible use of artificial intelligence, and an introduction to blockchain. The program aims to equip students with practical skills to become responsible digital citizens while preparing them for opportunities in the digital economy.

“This is the largest DTP session we’ve ever held in the country, and it reflects our unwavering commitment to shaping a safer and more inclusive digital future for Filipino students,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer.

The training comes amid rising cyber risks in the Philippines, with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) recording more than 3,000 cybercrime complaints in a year, including scams, phishing, and deepfake schemes. At the same time, thousands of jobs in cybersecurity, AI, fintech, and blockchain are projected to open in the coming years.

BTech Vice President for Administration and Finance Al Lawrence Cruz thanked Globe for bringing the program to the campus, noting that it helped students understand both the risks and benefits of emerging technologies.

Globe said it continues to partner with schools, local governments, and community organizations to bring DTP to more students nationwide and promote safe, responsible, and effective use of technology.
