The Angeles City AIDS Council, with the support of Angeles City Mayor Carmelo ‘Jon’ Lazatin II, led the conduct of the 2026 AIDS Candlelight Memorial Program themed “One Light, One Hope: We Remember, We Rise, We Lead” at the Reproductive Health and Wellness Center in Balibago, Angeles City.
The activity aimed to honor the lives affected by HIV/AIDS, strengthen community awareness, and encourage unity against stigma and discrimination.

The program featured a holy mass, inspirational messages, reflection activities, solidarity messages, and a candle-lighting ceremony symbolizing hope, love, and support for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.
Representatives from the local government, youth sector, and various community organizations also expressed their support and solidarity to further strengthen advocacy efforts on HIV awareness, prevention, and proper education.
Residents of Angeles City were likewise encouraged to remain open to accurate information, show compassion toward others, and support programs that promote a safe, informed, and healthy community for all.
